Kardashians sign $150m E! deal
The Kardashians and Jenners have signed a $150 million deal with E! to keep making shows with the network.
Kris Jenner is said to have negotiated the huge pay day for her famous family, including the continuation of flagship series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ as well as other specials and promotions.
Sources told The Blast that Kris will split the money with her daughters, Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
Insiders also revealed the family – who recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ – have started filming the 15th series already.
An E! spokesperson has confirmed the popular programme will remain on their screens for “years to come”.
They told Variety: “We recently celebrated the milestone 10th anniversary of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ on E! We have aired 13 wildly successful seasons of the franchise as well as 11 spinoffs, and Season 14 is off to a strong start.
“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with the Kardashians and they remain an important part of the E! family. We look forward to continuing our collaboration for years to come.”
While E! haven’t commented on how much the new contract is worth, an insider told the publication it amounts to “below $100 million” and said the deal is until 2020.
The famous family – who also includes Rob Kardashian, but he no longer appears on the show – last put pen to paper on a deal with the network in February 2015.
E! president Adam Stotsky recently hinted a new contract was on the cards.
He said: “What I can tell you is, it’s a very effective, collaborative working relationship that we have with them that we’re looking forward to continuing for the foreseeable future.”
‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ – which documents the lives of the Kardashians and Jenners – began in October 2007 and has gone on to become one of the longest-running reality TV series in the US.
The latest 14th series began on October 1, 2017.
