Hollywood star couple Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have announced their separation after less than three years of marriage.

It has sparked speculation that the former Friends star might reunite with her first spouse Brad Pitt.

The couple, who wed in 2015, gave no reason for the split and said they intended to continue their “cherished friendship”.

“This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year,” the statement read. “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
